Explore the Caribbean corner of the Netherlands on our Bonaire Sightseeing Tour. You'll hop on a bus and discover the island's salt flats, ancient villages, and paradisiacal beaches.
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel or meet you at the Port of Kralendijk, whichever you prefer, and board a bus. We'll explore the island from north to south on our bus and make short stops to see its main attractions. All aboard!
We'll start by driving along the coast to get closer to Bonaire's vast salt flats. As you admire the huge mountains of salt, we'll discuss how this product is extracted. In addition, we'll see several slaves' huts that'll give us an insight into this industry's dark past.
Our sightseeing tour will also take us to some of the most beautiful beaches on the island. We'll make a stop at the 1000 Steps, a beautiful, pristine bay where you'll be able to take stunning pictures.
Next, we'll pass through the surroundings of Goto Lake, see flamingos, and arrive at the municipality of Rincon, which was founded by Spanish colonizers in the 16th century. When we get there, we'll visit an old house with a museum inside to learn about Bonaire's history and traditions. We'll also taste one of the local delicacies - cactus liqueur.
It'll then be time to take you back to the starting point, where we'll arrive between 3 and 5 hours after the start time.
Tour Schedule
If you arrive by cruise ship, please note that the activity schedule follows the island's local time and not the boat's schedule.
