Activity Details
At the appointed time, we'll meet at Kaya Amsterdam to begin an unforgettable experience between the sea and sky of Bonaire. After a brief introduction, we'll head to the coast, where we'll give you snorkeling equipment. Ready to get in the water?
With everything ready, we'll enter the calm, turquoise waters that bathe Bonaire, where we'll discover an underwater world teeming with life. Did you know that sea turtles can stay underwater for up to 5 hours without moving? To find out, we'll start our snorkeling experience and have the opportunity to watch them swim gracefully and rest among fish, rays, and coral gardens.
After an hour exploring this underwater universe, we'll take a short trip to some secret mangroves on the island. There, we'll find a habitat of elegant Caribbean flamingos. In addition, throughout the snorkeling adventure, we'll also be surrounded by these beautiful wading birds.
Did you know that flamingos are so sensitive to the tranquility of their environment that Bonaire is one of the few places in the Caribbean where they still manage to reproduce in the wild? While we watch them, we'll talk about the importance of their conservation and how they are part of the island's ecosystem. Get your cameras ready!
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point in Kralendijk, where we'll say goodbye after a total of 2.5 hours of touring.
