Northern Bonaire Tour
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Kralendijk or the cruise terminal to kick off our adventure through Northern Bonaire. Ready to roll?
Our first stop is the Harbour Village Marina, where we can admire the stunning mural at the Trans World Radio facility. It beautifully showcases the diverse wonders of the island's seabed.
Next up, we'll cruise through two of Bonaire's well-loved neighborhoods: Hato and Sabadeco. These areas are a tourist's dream, thanks to the impressive mansions that grace their streets. Get ready for some jaw-dropping sights!
Then, we'll make a quick pit stop at the 1,000 Steps beach with mesmerizing turquoise waters. Fun fact: the name comes from the limestone stairs that lead down to the sandy shores. Let's see if we can count them on our way down.
While we hug the northern coast of this Dutch Caribbean island, we'll delve into its rich history, particularly its marked past involvement in slavery. Keep your eyes peeled for remnants of the past, like the historic Landhuis Karpata, where echoes of that history still linger.
Our next stop is the Goto Lake viewpoint. If the weather allows, we might catch a glimpse of the resident flamingos that live along the lake. Don't miss the chance to snap some photos and capture the moment!
From here, we'll roll into Rincon, the island's inaugural town dating back to the 16th century. As we navigate its streets, keep an eye out for some of Bonaire's oldest structures and distinctive architecture. We'll also make a pit stop at Rincon's most renowned distillery, Cadushy.
On our way back, we'll cruise through some of the island's oldest neighborhoods, like Noord Saliña and Antriol.
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point 2 hours later, bringing our tour to a close.
