On this scuba diving experience in Bonaire, you’ll feel the sensation of weightlessness as you enjoy one or two dives among the Caribbean’s coral gardens. It will be an unforgettable plan!
Activity Details
We’ll meet at the indicated time on Kaya Amsterdam, where we’ll give the required introduction and explain the basic principles of scuba diving. Let’s get started!
With the full diving gear on and once you’re ready, we’ll teach you how to breathe underwater, equalize pressure, and communicate with hand signals. We’ll practice in shallow water until you feel confident using the mask, the regulator, and buoyancy control.
We’ll do one or two dives, depending on what you select when booking, to admire the coral gardens along the coast of Bonaire. We’ll descend slowly and, as you feel weightlessness, clouds of parrotfish and angelfish will appear before your eyes. We’ll be surrounded by bright colors as we admire the marine flora. Did you know brain corals can live for hundreds of years and grow barely one centimeter per year?
During the dives, each lasting between 40 and 60 minutes, we may be lucky enough to see gorgonians, sea fans swaying with the current, and even seahorses hiding among the corals. Guided at all times by the instructor, we’ll enjoy an unforgettable experience in one of Bonaire’s marine sanctuaries.
Finally, once we return to solid ground, we’ll relax and remove the diving gear while sharing stories from the experience. We’ll end the activity after a total of between 2.5 and 3 hours at the initial meeting point.
