At the designated time, we'll meet at the entrance of the Izadi Wineries, located in Villabuena de Álava. Are you ready to discover the elaboration process of the wines of the Rioja Alavesa? Welcome!
Once we're all together, we'll start our tour of the different facilities of the winery, where you'll see the modern equipment used to create exceptional wine. During the tour, you'll learn all about the process, from receiving the harvested grapes from the vineyard to their fermentation, followed by aging in barrels.
You'll see the oak barrels used to let the wine rest and acquire its aromas and notes. It's a very interesting process! Plus, we'll tell you how the grapes from the Izadi Wineries' vineyards are selected and treated. The workers make sure to only choose the best grapes, benefiting from the Rioja Alavesa's microclimate.
Throughout this tour, you'll discover many facts about the work done at Izadi, a winery that respects the harvested fruit to the fullest in a fascinating natural environment. This winery makes the most out of a 164-foot (50 meters) slope to use gravity in their wine crafting. Did you know Izadi Wineries is divided into five different levels?
We'll complete our tour of Izadi by stopping at the tasting room, where we'll enjoy a guided tasting of three wines: Izadi Larrosa Blanca, Izadi Crianza, and Izadi Selección. All wines will be accompanied by a snack made of gourmet products. It's the perfect way to end the tour!
