On the first day of your activity, you'll meet your expert instructor at Valdevaqueros Campsite, ready to head down to the beach together. Tarifa's location on the Strait of Gibraltar means its beaches have unique weather conditions, making it the perfect place for wind sports. Ready for a watersports adventure you'll never forget?
The first part of your kitesurfing course will take place on the sand. You'll have a brief theory class before beginning to practice with the kites. Starting off with small kites, you'll soon learn how to control them easily. Your guides will show you how to take off, land and use the safety systems, so all you need to worry about when you take to the sea is enjoying yourself!
After mastering the essential skills, it'll be time to put it all into practice and take the plunge into the water. You'll be able to go step by step, so you can tailor your kitesurfing experience to your own rhythm. Firstly, you'll practice without the board so that you can get comfortable with the rest of the equipment, and especially with handling the kite while it's pushed by strong winds.
The next part of your course will involve learning to surf on the board and how to control it. Once you've got this step mastered, you'll be able to kitesurf all on your own. Fly over the water pushed by the strength of the wind, and enjoy the thrill-ride of kitesurfing - you won't be able to get enough of it!
