Activity Details
If you're looking for a cruise on Lake Tahoe, this is your best option! At the indicated time, we'll meet at the pier where the MS Dixie II departs. Are you ready to be captivated by the scenery that forms the natural border between Nevada and California?
As we board this impressive steamship, we'll begin our tour of Emerald Bay, a bay of Lake Tahoe that is famous for its spectacular emerald green waters and mesmerising panoramic views. No wonder many consider it to be the most beautiful part of Lake Tahoe.
During the boat ride, you'll have a guide on board who will tell you about the history and peculiarities of Lake Tahoe, which is full of environmentally valuable landmarks. As we go along, we'll pass by Vikingsholm, an elegant Scandinavian-style mansion on the shores of Emerald Bay. Did you know that it's one of the finest examples of this type of architecture to be found in the United States? Be sure to take a photo!
Afterwards, we'll continue to cruise leisurely aboard the steamboat and enjoy the views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, as well as the lush forests surrounding Emerald Bay. Plus, of course, we'll sail by Fanette Island, the only island in all of Lake Tahoe.
All good things come to an end! After between 2 and 2.5 hours of cruising, we'll return to the pier and end the tour.
