Do you want to see dolphins in their natural habitat? In this dolphin watching trip in the Arrábida Natural Park, you'll sail along the coast of Sesimbra with a marine biologist as your guide, in search of these majestic mammals.
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll set sail on a Zodiac-style boat from the port of Sesimbra, one of the most beautiful towns in the region of Lisbon. Ready to admire these beautiful animals in their natural habitat?
On this cruise along the coast of Sesimbra and its surroundings, we'll sail along the Parque Marinho Professor Luiz Saldanha, a reserve belonging to the Arrábida Natural Park. We'll sail through the waters of this protected environment to admire its beautiful caves, wild beaches and cliffs. Throughout the route, you'll learn tons of fascinating things about these friendly creatures with the help of your marine biologist guide.
Along the way, we'll try to spot common and bottlenose dolphins off the coast of Arrábida. We'll see these marine animals from a safe distance, so that we preserve the ecosystem that serves as their habitat at all times. If conditions are favourable, we may even see sunfish and whales.
In addition to spotting marine fauna, during the trip, we'll also enjoy a glass of muscatel on board, which we'll accompany with a typical sweet of the region, ideal to sweeten up the trip!
Finally, after a crossing of between 2 and 3 hours, depending on the weather conditions, we'll conclude the trip by returning to the departure dock.
Dolphin Spotting
The coast of Sesimbra is one of the best places in the Arrábida Natural Park to see dolphins and other animals. However, animals are unpredictable. The number of dolphins we see will depend on various factors such as the weather on the day and breeding and calving seasons of the different species.
