At the designated time, we'll meet at the Omni San Francisco Hotel to kick off our guided walking tour of the neighborhood of Chinatown, the second-largest Chinese community in the United States and one of the areas with the most history and color in the city.
Our first stop will be in front of the Old Saint Mary's Cathedral, where we'll discover the origins of this emblematic district and the development of the first Asian immigrants on the western coast. Then, we'll walk toward Portsmouth Square, the true social heart of the neighborhood. At this historic meeting point, we'll see the local life as we step into the area's past.
