Located at the foot of Montmartre Hill, just a 5-minute walk from the iconic Moulin Rouge, La Nouvelle Eve is one of the oldest cabarets in Paris.
This theatre opened in 1898 under the name “Fantaisies Parisiennes.” From the beginning, it hosted major works by Belle Époque masters such as Desfontaines, Scribe, Labiche, and Feydeau.
In 1920, the venue became “La Gaîté,” the first hall in Paris to feature nude performances in its shows. Later, it reinvented itself under other names, such as “Théâtre Balzac” and “Folies-Montmartre.”
Finally, in 1949, it took on the name “La Nouvelle Eve.” Since then, it has become a true classic on the Parisian scene. In 2022, it even hosted the filming of the series Emily in Paris, where the theatre appears under the name “La Trompette Bleue.”
Singers, dancers, acrobats, jugglers, mimes… Every night, the stage at La Nouvelle Eve hosts a unique show with 23 artists who use 150 costumes across 6 scenes.
During the 1.5-hour show, you’ll enjoy unforgettable songs from the Parisian music scene. Among these, you’ll hear La vie en rose, Édith Piaf’s great classic.
As expected, the show concludes with a can-can performance, the most iconic dance of Parisian cabarets.
