2-Day Trip to Mont Saint Michel & the Loire Valley Castles
Day 1: Paris - Mont Saint Michel - Angers
We'll depart from the Avenue de Suffren, number 18 in Paris, at the indicated time on a luxury air-conditioned coach and relax while you enjoy the beautiful scenery of the French countryside on the Normandy highway. We'll arrive at Mont Saint Michel around four hours later, stopping at the bay in front of the fortress to admire the beauty of the area.
Next, a shuttle will take us to the feet of Mont Saint Michel. With our energy renewed, we'll admire the town's medieval streets and houses and admire the remaining city walls while we climb to the highest point of the mountain, where we'll enter the renowned Gothic-styled Benedictine Abbey, one of the most popular attractions in France. After the visit, you'll have free time to admire the magnificent views over the river, stroll through medieval-style alleys or try some typical crêpes.
You’ll depart from Mont Saint Michel at approximately 4:30 pm and head to Angers, where you'll spend the night.
Please note that on 1 May, 8 May, 29 May and 14 August, arrival at the hotel in Angers will be later than usual. On the way, we'll make a stop so that you can get yourself something to eat for dinner.
Day 2: Angers - Langeais - Amboise - Chenonceau - Paris
We'll have breakfast at the hotel and from Angers we'll head to the Château de Langeais for a guided tour. Then we'll go to the Château de Chenonceau, where you'll have free time for lunch before the guided tour begins.
Château de Chenonceau is one of the symbols of French history. As we tour this Renaissance masterpiece, we'll discover why it was known as the Château des Dames, and get a close look at the refined French way of life.
Finally, we'll head to the Château de Chambord to discover the famous "double helix" staircase designed by Leonardo da Vinci. It's a unique castle, commissioned by the French monarch François I.
The coach will head back to Paris and we'll drop you off at the meeting point at 9 pm.
