Come and join us to climb Mount Toubkal, the highest summit in Morocco with this 2 or 3-day trek from Marrakech. Ready for an unforgettable adventure?
We'll depart from your accommodation in Marrakech at 9 am. After a two-hour drive, we'll arrive in Imlil. From this small mountain village, situated in the Atlas Mountains at an altitude of 5905,5118 feet (1800 metres), we'll start a 5-hour trekking route.
The first stage will take us to Sidi Chamharouch. Did you know that this place is known as "the Devil's Sultan"? We'll take a break at an altitude of more than 7545,930 feet 2,300 metres for lunch and enjoy spectacular views. Once we have regained our strength, we'll start the walk to a mountain lodge at the foot of Mount Toubkal. There we'll have a refreshing dinner and rest until the next day.
We'll have breakfast at the mountain lodge. Then, we'll set off on a nine-hour hike to the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in Morocco at 13451,44 (4100 metres)! Once we reach the summit, we'll admire the breathtaking view.
After enjoying the incredible views, we'll descend on foot to the base of the mountain to replenish our strength with a lunch prepared by our friendly guide. After lunch, we'll continue the walk to Imlil. From there, we'll travel by road back to Marrakech, where we'll arrive between 4 and 6 pm.
This 2-day trek includes one night's accommodation at the Toubkal Refuge mountain lodge.
If you choose this option, we'll follow a very similar itinerary.
The first day will consist of a route between Marrakech, Imlil and the Azzaden Valley. On the second day, we'll walk between the Azzaden Valley and Mount Toubkal.
Finally, on the third day, we'll take the same route of Mount Toubkal, Imlil and Marrakech as described above.
