Get to know three of Slovenia's most traditional villages with this tour from Koper. The Castle of Socerb, the Church of Hrastovlje, and the wine of Marezige await!
After picking you up from your hotel in Koper at 9 am, we'll board a bus to travel through some of the most traditional villages in Slovenia.
First, we'll head to Socerb, located just 20 minutes away. Once there, we'll explore its imposing castle, which offers spectacular views over the Gulf of Trieste. As well as learning all about the history of this medieval fortress, we'll visit the Holy Cave, the only underground sanctuary in Slovenia - you'll be fascinated by the legend of its former inhabitant!
The next village on our tour is Hrastovlje, famous for the Holy Trinity Church. Inside this 13th century church, which is surrounded by an impressive historic wall, we'll get to see the famous fresco of the Danse Macabre, or "Dance of Death" inside. Did you know that this church is a UNESCO World Heritage Site?
To complete the tour, we'll visit Marezige, a village known for its numerous vineyards and olive trees. We'll have the opportunity to try these two products with a wine and olive oil tasting. The tour will be accompanied by typical local snacks - the perfect end to the experience!
Finally, we'll return to Koper at 4 pm.
