At the designated time, we'll meet at Via Benedetto Croce in Gioia del Colle, just 200 metres (656 feet) from the train station. Here, we'll hop onto our e-bikes and set off in search of masserias, some of the most typical farmhouse structures in Apulia. Ready to cycle? Let's go!
Together, we'll travel down country lanes on the outskirts of Gioia del Colle to get to know these rural buildings. Did you know that in the past, these big agricultural constructions were used as stables and hay barns? They were also used as housing for both the workers and landowners in the area.
Additionally, during the bicycle route, we'll stop at a regional winery and, if you wish, you can enjoy an aperitif or typical wines of that area.
Lastly, we'll begin our return journey back to our meeting point in Gioia del Colle, where this bicycle tour will come to an end after a total of 2.5 hours.
