Adeje Coast Lava Tongue Snorkelling
At your chosen time, we'll meet at the Marina del Sur, located in Las Galletas. We'll board our boat and begin a pleasant crossing with breathtaking views and some interesting facts about the area.
We'll sail through the Atlantic Ocean and look out at incredible views of Southern Tenerife's coastline, being sure to pay extra attention to Costa Adeje's lava tongues. During the boat trip, we'll discuss the volcanic processes that led to the formation of this fascinating island landscape.
In order to explore the lava tongues properly, we'll put on snorkelling equipment and jump into the sea so you can see how these formations are submerged underwater. As we swim, we'll discover how the rocks are a true reflection of the way that the lava from the island's volcanoes has penetrated the Atlantic Ocean over the years.
As well as admiring the lava tongue, you'll also be able to see the marine flora and fauna and learn how to differentiate between the numerous species that are endemic to the Canary Islands.
After 2 hours, we'll finish our activity back at the starting point.
