Discover the world of Burgundy wines with your ticket to the Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne in Chablis, one of the region's main wine-growing localities.
Why Visit the Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne?
Located in the Cellier du Petit Pontigny, a former cellar of Cistercian monks dating back to 1128, the Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne of Chablis is an outstanding wine tourism center dedicated to the wines of Burgundy.
With your ticket to the Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne, you can visit the outstanding Chablis complex, which is located 30 minutes from Auxerre, the capital of the Yonne province, at your own pace.
Throughout your visit to the Cité, you'll find different interactive panels that will allow you to learn in-depth about the history and characteristics of northern Burgundy vineyards.
The exhibition especially focuses on the Chablisie and Grand Auxerrois type of cultivation, a category to which the vineyards of Auxerrois, Tonnerrois, Vézelien, and Jovinien belong. You'll also discover fun facts about the wines of the Pays Châtillonnais.
At the end of your visit, you'll enjoy a glass of Burgundy wine or grape juice, whichever you prefer. What's more, you can complete the experience by participating in a wine-tasting workshop on your own.
