Cruise through one of the most important rivers of the Iberian Peninsula while enjoying the scenery of the Tagus International Natural Park with this boat trip on the Tagus River. You'll fall in love with its natural beauty!
Tagus River Cruise
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the pier of Cedillo, a town located on the border between Spain and Portugal. It's the westernmost municipality of Extremadura!
There, we'll climb aboard a boat and begin to cruise through the waters of the Tagus River towards Herrera de Alcántara, a town famous for its Roman bridge. The Tagus is the natural border between Spain and Portugal and divides the Tagus International Natural Park in two. One side is managed by the Autonomous Community of Extremadura and the other by Portugal.
During the cruise, the crew will tell us some interesting facts about the culture and history of the Spanish-Portuguese border. In addition, we'll enjoy the park's great diversity of flora and fauna and its stunning natural environment. If we're lucky, we'll even be able to see different species of endemic birds such as the griffon vulture, the Egyptian vulture, the black stork and the imperial eagle, the latter of which is in danger of extinction.
Before reaching Herrera de Alcántara, the boat will turn around and we'll continue admiring the scenery until we arrive back at the departure point after a total of 2 hours.
