We'll meet at the indicated time at the Cedillo dock, where a boat will be waiting to take us through the Tagus International Natural Park. Are you ready to explore one of the most unknown corners of Extremadura?
For an hour, we'll sail the waters of the Ponsul River while enjoying the fantastic views of the Mediterranean forest that surrounds it. We'll also be able to enjoy the commentary of the crew on board, who will tell us all about the typical fauna of the area.
Following the course of the river, we'll cross the border with Portugal and reach the town of Lentiscais. Once we disembark there, we'll get on a bus to head to our next destination: Castelo Branco. Do you know where it gets its name from?
In this beautiful Portuguese town, whose name is still of unknown origin, we'll have between 5.5 and 6 hours of free time to discover its mysterious past linked to the Templars. To do so, we recommend visiting the ruins of the fortress of Castelo Branco and strolling through its beautiful gardens, which look like something out of a fairy tale. If you go in summer, you can visit the Piscina Paria.
After exploring the history of Castelo Branco, we'll return by bus to the Lentiscais dock and return to Cedillo by boat. Finally, we'll bring the activity to an end after between 8 and 9 hours in total.
