At the indicated time, we'll meet at Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 114 to kick off this exciting bike tour of Amsterdam. Ready to cycle?
First, we'll cycle to Amsterdam Centraal Station, which first opened in 1889 after being designed by the Dutch architect Pierre Cuypers. Did you know that it's the largest railway station in Amsterdam?
It goes without saying that you can't leave Amsterdam without admiring one of its iconic windmills. On this tour, we'll take it up a notch by showing you one of the most famous ones still standing in Amsterdam: Gooyer's Windmill. We'll learn all about this windmill's history as we cycle past.
Afterwards, we'll cycle around the outskirts of ARTIS Zoo. Did you know that it's the oldest zoo in the Netherlands? If we're lucky, we might even spot some animals as we pass!
Up next, we'll cycle across Magere Brug, one of the city's most beautiful bridges. Then, we'll reach Museumplein Square, which is where a lot of Amsterdam's best museums are located. We'll continue riding our bikes through Vondelpark, which is the city's most popular park—you'll see why!
Lastly, we'll reach Jordaan, one of Amsterdam's most charming neighbourhoods. This neighbourhood is home to the city's most iconic bridges—it's a must!
Finally, after a total of 2.5 hours, we'll bring this bike route of Amsterdam to a close in the Jordaan area.
