Body Worlds Amsterdam is part of the exhibitions created by Dr. Gunther von Hagens in which plastination, the process of preserving real human bodies for scientific research and medical education, is displayed.
Over the years, the content of the exhibition has varied depending on the subject matter, be it health, sports, diet, or animal anatomy. If you visit Body Worlds, you can learn how happiness affects the human body. In the museum, you'll admire 200 real plastinated bodies while you discover your own anatomy in a different way.
As you explore the different rooms, you'll learn the secrets of your body and its different functions in everyday situations. It'll a very educational visit!
When booking, you can choose the option that includes admission to Body Worlds along with an audio guide in English.
You can access the exhibition from 10 am to 6 pm. Final admission is 1 hour before the end of the time slot.
Christmas period: on December 24, 25 and 31, Body Worlds Amsterdam is open from 10 am to 5 pm; on December 26, from 10 am to 10 pm; on January 1, from 12 pm to 8 pm. Final admission is always 1 hour before closing time.
