Join us for a scenic bike tour through the stunning Dutch countryside, pedaling past the iconic windmills just outside Amsterdam—you’re in for a great time!

Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Oosterdokskade 63A to hop on our bikes and start pedaling into the countryside. First, we'll take a ferry across the IJ Canal to the Noord district, where you’ll learn about the dikes and locks that protect Amsterdam from flooding. We'll also ride past iconic windmills along the way.

First, we’ll cross the IJ Canal on the free ferries that connect Amsterdam Central Station with the Noord neighborhood. During the trip, we’ll enjoy some of the most characteristic landscapes of the Dutch countryside and pass by traditional windmills.

Do you know what the polders of the Dutch countryside are? We’ll find out as we cycle through meadows where we’ll see cows and goats roaming freely and get a sense of what rural life is like on the outskirts of Amsterdam. You’ll love seeing them up close!

Next, we’ll visit the Jersey IJssalon farm, famous for making artisanal ice cream from the milk of Jersey cows, one of the most prized breeds in the Netherlands. Afterward, we’ll head to a second farm located right next to the first one, where we’ll enjoy a tasting of a glass of fresh Dutch cow’s milk, a lovely experience that brings us even closer to the dairy farming traditions of the Dutch countryside.

Finally, we’ll return by ferry to downtown Amsterdam, where we’ll wrap up the tour after approximately 2.5 to 3 hours of activity.

Children Under 4

Children under 4 may participate in this activity when accompanied by an adult. In this case, a child seat will be attached to the adult’s bicycle.
