At the indicated time, we'll start the electric bike tour of Vigo from the Rúa de García Barbón. Ready to cycle around the city as we learn about the history of the Galician hórreos and the fishing traps?
First, we'll explain how the electric bikes work and give you some minutes to get used to your bike. After understanding how they operate, we'll cycle to the Náutico de Vigo yacht club, where we'll stop to learn about the story of Lola, a symbol that will help us understand the phenomenon of Galician migration.
From there, we'll take the bike lane towards the fishing port. As soon as we arrive, we'll have a close look at the economic heart of the city and witness how maritime trade has evolved. The views will accompany us as we cycle towards the fishing village of Bouzas.
Then, we'll ride along the coast until we reach the statue dos Peixes. Nearby, next to the Citröen loading dock, we'll talk about how the arrival of this multinational company transformed the social and economic fabric of Vigo forever.
We'll move along the Atlantic and the estuary, enjoying the sea breeze as we reach the coves such as Alcabre, Carril and La Fuente, small paradises on the coast of Vigo that will amaze you!
Lastly, we'll stop at Vigo's largest beach, Samil Beach, where you'll enjoy one of the most beautiful views of Galicia with the Cíes Islands and the south of Vigo in the background.
Finally, 2.5 hours later, we'll return to the starting point. See you next time!
