Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the ticket office of the viewpoint below the Marmore Falls. Would you like to have a closer look at one of the world's oldest operational waterworks?
From this point, you'll begin to get an idea of the magnificence of the waterfall's main fall, which rises more than 80 m (262 ft). The roar of the water's force and the majesty of this place will captivate you!
After discovering the details of how it works and its origins, which date back to 271 BC, we'll start walking towards the monument to Lord Byron, who celebrated the beauty of the waterfall in one of his poems. Did you know that it was an obligatory stop on the Grand Tour?
Afterwards, we'll start the ascent to the waterfalls, walking the three paths leading to the upper viewpoint. During the walk, we'll stop at several observation points where you'll be able to take amazing pictures of the different waterfalls.
We'll also follow the Grand Tour Points, which are signposted with panels showing quotes and paintings by 19th-century travellers such as Goethe, Wordsworth, William Turner and J. B. Camille Corot.
Once we reach the highest point, one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Italy, you'll admire a panoramic view that will be etched in your memory forever.
