Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Side and head to the city of Alanya, one of the most popular coastal cities on the Anatolian peninsula. Before arriving, we'll make a brief stop at a banana plantation, where we'll learn more about this crop that is so typical of the area.
First, we'll visit Alanya Castle. We'll spend about 45 minutes enjoying this medieval fortress, built in the 13th century to defend the city. Its privileged location also offers visitors an unforgettable panoramic view of the beaches and the old town of Alanya. You'll love it!
Next, we'll head to Damlataş Cave, famous for its impressive stalactites and stalagmites. Did you know that many people believe this cave has the power to cure asthma? Could it be true? We'll find out!
After about 45 minutes exploring the caves, we'll head to Cleopatra Beach, one of the most iconic beaches on the Turkish Riviera. It's said that the Egyptian queen herself bathed in its crystal-clear waters. After admiring its beauty, we'll head to the port of Alanya to embark on a 1-hour boat trip. During the trip, we'll see monuments such as the Red Tower, the ruins of the 13th-century Seljuk Castle and several caves with stories of pirates and local legends.
After the boat trip, we'll get back in the vehicle and head to the Dim River, a perfect place to relax and enjoy a traditional Turkish lunch at a floating restaurant, consisting of grilled chicken or fish or a vegetarian option. Its cool waters and shady surroundings make it an ideal retreat on hot days.
Feeling refuelled, you'll have 1.5 hours of free time to continue exploring Alanya on your own. We recommend taking the opportunity to visit the Red Tower, shop in the bazaar, or simply stroll through the streets and enjoy the atmosphere.
Finally, we'll begin our return to Side and, after a 9-hour adventure, we'll say goodbye at your hotel.
