Tour Details
We'll meet at the scheduled time outside the Archive of the Indies in Seville, where we'll begin our guided visit to this World Heritage Site building. Let's go!
The tour will begin at the main façade of the Archive of the Indies, and before entering, we'll take a short stroll around the outside. As we walk, we'll begin to understand the relationship between some of the buildings that surround the Archive of the Indies, such as the Cathedral and Alcázar.
We'll continue the guided tour of the inside of the Archive of the Indies to learn about its function and all the treasures behind its walls. Did you know that this institution was founded in 1785 by King Carlos III? And was born out of a conflict between Seville's Cathedral and the city's merchants in the 16th century? Ready to learn all about this location?
As well as this, while we visit its 2 floors, we'll discover all of the uses of this space before it was declared the General Archive of the Indies. Of course, we'll also see objects and documents of unquantifiable value that are housed here.
After 1 hour and 45 minutes, we'll bring this guided tour to an end, at the front entrance to the Archive of the Indies.
