Inside this castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we'll visit the Throne Room and admire the spectacular Mudéjar coffered ceiling in its main rooms. Plus, we'll go to one of the wings adjacent to the parade ground, where we'll visit the Museum of the Royal Artillery College.
After 1 hour and 45 minutes, we'll conclude the tour outside the Alcázar of Segovia or in the center of Segovia.
Segovia, Cathedral, & Alcázar Tour
At the designated time, we'll meet in the center of Segovia to begin this tour of its streets and most emblematic monuments.
During the tour, we'll stop in front of the imposing Aqueduct. Did you know that historians consider it the best-preserved Roman aqueduct in the world? It's over 2,000 years old, and it's impossible not to notice it as soon as you arrive in the center of Segovia!
We'll also stroll along Calle Real, the city's main thoroughfare, where you'll find fascinating places like Plaza de Medina del Campo, surrounded by Renaissance palaces, and Plaza del Corpus Christi, where the former synagogue, now a church, stands.
In Plaza Mayor, the cathedral known as the "Lady of Cathedrals" awaits us, renowned for its size and visual impact. We'll enter Segovia Cathedral to explore the interior of this architectural gem dating back to the 16th century. We'll walk through its central nave and marvel at the fusion of Gothic and Renaissance elements.
Then, we'll wander through the Canonjías neighborhood until we reach the spectacular Alcázar of Segovia, one of Spain's most famous fortresses. Want to know why? Let's explore its interior!
Finally, after a 2.5-hour tour, we'll conclude our activity outside the Alcázar.
