If you’re in Arizona, taking a day trip to the Grand Canyon is essential. We’ll visit its most famous viewpoints, the Navajo Nation, and Oak Creek Canyon.
Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel and begin one of the most popular day trips in the United States. We’re heading to the Grand Canyon!
During the journey, we’ll enjoy the impressive views of the Arizona mountains and, only if you're departing from Sedona, we'll pass through Oak Creek Canyon, known for its spectacular scenery. Did you know it’s often called the Grand Canyon’s little brother? There’s a reason for that!
After 2.5 hours of travel, we’ll arrive at Grand Canyon National Park. We’ll start exploring its paths so you can admire the incredible beauty of this protected area and visit several viewpoints along the South Rim and East Rim of the Grand Canyon.
Then, we’ll stop so you can have lunch on your own at one of the restaurants inside the park. Upon leaving the National Park, we’ll travel through the vast Navajo Nation while learning about their land and culture. You’ll also enjoy views of the Little Colorado River canyon.
We’ll also stop at the historic Cameron Trading Post, where you can browse a wide selection of souvenirs and Native American crafts. On the return journey, you’ll take in panoramic views of the Painted Desert cliffs and the volcanic fields near Flagstaff.
Finally, we’ll end the day trip 9 to 11 hours later at the starting point.
