Activity Details
At the selected time, we'll meet at San José Beach, ready for a brief lesson on how to safely paddle the kayaks that we'll use during our tour of Cabo de Gata. You'll have time to practice on the beach so you're ready for the activity.
After our class, we'll put theory into practice and start our kayak tour in Cabo de Gata! We'll start paddling east to discover the beautiful villages and cliffs of Cabo de Gata from this new perspective. The scenery will leave you speechless!
Halfway, and if the sea conditions allow it, we'll stop paddling to jump into the water and practice snorkeling. This is the perfect opportunity to explore the rich seabed of the area. Next, we'll continue our route until we reach Tomate Cove, where we'll enjoy the volcanic landscapes of Punta de Los Frailes.
After this stop, we'll start our way back to the meeting point, ending the activity.
Changes to The Meeting Point
If conditions are favorable, this activity will begin at San José Beach. However, if the weather is bad, we'll start the tour at another suitable nearby location, such as La Fabriquilla Beach or Cala del Cuervo in Las Negras. In these exceptional cases, we'll notify you the day before.
Activity Requirements
- You must know how to swim and be able to paddle the kayak independently.
- Please note that this activity is not suitable for people with poor physical fitness, medical conditions, mobility issues, or pregnant people.
- The maximum weight permitted per kayak is 260 kg (573 pounds), bearing in mind the kayaks can hold a maximum of 4 people.
