Have a unique and unforgettable experience in the forests of Finland with this husky dog sleigh ride under the Northern Lights.

Activity Details

At the agreed time, we’ll meet at Maakuntakatu 29 in Rovaniemi. From there, we’ll head to the place where we’ll meet the charming husky dogs that will accompany us throughout the experience.

Once we're all set, we'll start our 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) husky sleigh ride through the most amazing and fascinating landscapes of Finland. Each sleigh can be operated by either the tour guide or a member from each group, depending on how severe the conditions are.

Then, weather permitting, we'll turn our eyes to the skies in search of the sometimes elusive aurora borealis, either in the forest or by the lakeside. Then, our husky dogs will take us back to the place where we started the route.

Finally, we'll accompany you back to your hotel in Rovaniemi arriving 2 hours later.

Northern Lights

The aurora borealis is a natural phenomenon so although it's very common to see it during the tour, it cannot be guaranteed.

Itinerary Changes

Please note that the sleigh ride depends on weather conditions. If there is enough snow and the lake is completely frozen, it will be by sleigh; if the temperature rises, or it is not safe to do so on the lake, it will be by wheeled carriage.
