On this route, we’ll uncover the Roman remains of the city founded by Romulus and Remus and stop at its most remarkable monuments.
We’ll begin by circling the Colosseum, the undisputed symbol of Rome, before visiting the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, home to the famous chains of the apostle and Michelangelo’s statue of Moses.
We’ll stroll through the Imperial Forums, where history comes to life among temples, triumphal arches, and ancient basilicas. The walk will continue toward the Theatre of Marcellus, an architectural gem from the time of Augustus, before crossing Piazza Venezia to admire the Monument to Victor Emmanuel II, a symbol of unified Italy.
We’ll end the route at the majestic Piazza del Campidoglio, where you’ll enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Rome.
This route highlights the grandeur of Baroque architecture and the splendor of its monuments. We’ll start at Piazza di Spagna, with its elegant Spanish Steps leading to Trinità dei Monti, and continue to the Trevi Fountain, Rome’s eternal symbol and a masterpiece of urban scenography.
At Piazza della Pietra, we’ll admire the columns of the Temple of Hadrian, perfectly blended with the 18th-century surroundings, before heading to Palazzo Madama, now home to the Italian Senate.
We’ll then reach the Pantheon, an immortal marvel that inspired the great masters of the Baroque. Finally, Piazza Navona will welcome us like an open-air theater, where Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers enters into dialogue with Borromini’s Church of Sant’Agnese in Agone.
Throughout history, Rome has been a cradle for artists who have left their mark on its streets and landmarks. We’ll begin at the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, one of the city’s oldest churches, renowned for its dazzling 12th-century golden mosaics. Did you know one of the first Christian masses in Rome was held here?
We’ll stroll through the Trastevere neighborhood, where the smell of coffee mixes with freshly baked bread and the sounds of artisans at work in their tiny shops.
Next, we’ll climb up to the Gianicolo (Janiculum Hill) to take in one of the most breathtaking views of the Eternal City. Then we’ll head down to the old Jewish Quarter, where history echoes in the walls of the Portico of Octavia and the Great Synagogue of Rome, symbols of resilience and coexistence. We’ll also pass by Tiber Island, a small haven in the middle of the river.
On this tour, we’ll follow the most important road of Ancient Rome, the Appian Way. Known as the Regina Viarum, or “Queen of Roads,” it was the first major Roman highway, connecting the capital with southern Italy and allowing the passage of armies and merchants.
Along the way, we’ll admire the impressive Baths of Caracalla and the evocative Church of Domine Quo Vadis, where, according to legend, Christ appeared to the Apostle Peter. We’ll then go underground to explore the mysterious Catacombs (you’ll choose which one to visit) and continue among the ruins of the Villa and Circus of Maxentius, before reaching the Tomb of Cecilia Metella, built in honor of a noble Roman woman in the 1st century BC.
