Tour Details
We’ll meet at the scheduled time in front of Reading Terminal Market and, once ready, we’ll board a double-decker open-top bus to discover a city that shines with art and history. Ready to experience the magic of Philadelphia after dark?
As soon as we set off, we’ll pass in front of City Hall, an architectural gem in the Second Empire style that dominates the city with its tower crowned by the statue of William Penn. Did you know that for almost a century it was the tallest building in the world without a steel structure? You’ll learn this and other facts thanks to the commentary provided by the guide on board the bus.
We’ll travel along Benjamin Franklin Parkway, inspired by elegant Parisian boulevards. This avenue of almost 2 km (1.2 mi) will lead us toward some of the most famous museums in the United States. Do you know why there are so many flags waving along the avenue? They represent the different nationalities that live together in this city with a cosmopolitan spirit.
We’ll reach the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where we’ll make a special stop so you can climb the iconic Rocky Steps. From there, we’ll enjoy one of the best panoramic views of the city, bathed in the golden lights of the skyline. We’ll also pass by Love Park, in JFK Plaza, a symbol of the warmth and affection that define Philadelphia.
Finally, we’ll return to the original meeting point, where the tour will end after a total of 1.5 hours.
