Up for some paddling? On this activity just outside Oviedo, we'll canoe down the Nalón River along the stretch between Las Caldas and Trubia. A truly exciting experience!
Activity Details
We'll meet at 10:30 am in front of the Las Caldas Health Center. Here, on the outskirts of Oviedo, we'll hand out life jackets, paddles, and a waterproof barrel per canoe to store your belongings.
Your instructor will then give you a short theoretical and practical briefing so you can take on the activity safely. After that, we'll get into the canoes and begin our descent down the Nalón River. Get ready for a ride!
Along the way, we'll encounter rapids, slides, wave sections, and calm stretches, so it's important to follow the instructor's guidance at all times as they'll point out the safest places to paddle.
We'll alternate between more challenging sections and calmer ones, where we'll take the opportunity to spot wild birds and soak up the beautiful natural landscapes of this part of Asturias.
The descent will finish at 1:30 pm in the town of Trubia, from where we'll take you back by minibus to the meeting point, where you can get changed in the changing rooms at the Las Caldas Municipal Swimming Pool.
