The New York City Tour Bus is a convenient and fun way to get around the city that never sleeps. The two-story, open-top vehicles are the perfect way to visit the main places of interest.
With a total of 18 stops, there are 2 routes on which you can explore Midtown, Uptown, and Downtown, all connecting at Times Square. Unmissable sights such as Chinatown, Wall Street, the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, Madison Square Garden, Little Italy, and last but not least, the Statue of Liberty.

Ticket Options
- Red Line 24-hour ticket: you'll enjoy the Red Line, which runs the Downtown tour
- Red & Blue Line 48-hour ticket: this option includes the Red Line (Downtown tour) and the Blue Line (Uptown tour). Plus, it includes a 2-hour evening panoramic tour with an English-speaking guide.
- Red & Blue Line 72-hour ticket + cruise: with this option, you'll enjoy the Red Line (Downtown tour) and the Blue Line (Uptown tour) for 3 days. In addition, you can choose between the Circle Line Liberty Cruise (1 hour) or the Circle Line Landmarks Cruise (90 minutes).
- Red & Blue line 1-day ticket & Empire State Building ticket: if you book this option, as well as enjoying a ticket for the sightseeing bus, you'll also get admission to the observation deck of the Empire State Building, one of New York's most iconic skyscrapers.
- 48-hour pass + Empire State Building Observatory ticket + cruise: if you’re looking for the most complete option, this is the one for you. In addition to the hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus ticket and admission to the Empire State Building observation deck, you’ll also enjoy a cruise along the Hudson River. Plus, the cruise and the Empire State Building visit can be done on different days, giving you maximum flexibility.
How It Works
The 24, 48 or 72-hour tickets will have a corresponding validity. For example, if you book a 24-hour ticket and use it for the first time on Monday at 11 am, you can use it until 11 am the following day, in this case Tuesday. During the time it is valid, you can hop on and off the bus as many times as you like.
In the case of the 1-day ticket option, if you use it for the first time on a Monday at 11 am, you can use it until the end of that Monday at midnight, but you won't be able to use it until 11 am the following day.
The 48-hour option offers a nighttime tour departing daily from stop #1 (M&M's World) at two different times around sunset. The 72-hour option includes both the Circle Line Liberty Cruise and the Circle Line Landmarks Cruise, which depart daily from Pier 83 (at 42nd Street and Hudson River Park).
If you book the Empire State Building Observatory ticket option, once you exchange your ticket for the sightseeing bus, you'll have to choose a time to enter the building. At that time, you'll be given your official ticket.
Schedule & Frequency
- Red Line (Downtown Tour): this line has 12 stops, and departs daily every 10 to 15 minutes from 9 am to 5 pm. The entire route takes around an hour and a half.
- Blue Line (Uptown Tour): this line has 7 stops and departs daily every half hour from 10 am to 4 pm. The entire route takes around an hour and a half.
- Evening Tour (included in the 48-hour ticket): departs daily from stop #1 (M&M's World) in the late afternoon/evening.
