On this electric bike tour of Mount Vesuvius from Naples, you'll cycle and hike on the scenic trails of the Vesuvius National Park.
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Napoli Centrale railway station, where we'll give you your ticket to take the train to the station in Torre Annunziata. Here, we'll be waiting for you to start our day of discovering the volcanic landscapes of Mount Vesuvius. Are you ready for adventure? Let's go!
Once we're gathered, we'll head to the start of our tour, where we'll provide the electric bicycles. It's time to pedal! We'll head to the Strada Matrone, along the scenic route of Via Cifelli, and in an effortless 15 minutes, we'll reach the entrance of the Vesuvius National Park. Once here, we'll enter to start our ascent toward the crater.
After we've reached 2,624 feet (800 meters) above sea level, we'll leave our electric bikes parked to continue our tour on foot along a nature trail. During this easy hike, you'll enjoy the impressive views as we reach the volcano's crater. After about a 40-minute hiking route, we'll reach the foothills of the crater.
Here, we'll stop for approximately 1 hour to admire up close one of the most extraordinary natural phenomena in the world.
Then, after conquering the summit, we'll get ready for the descent. At the starting point, we'll leave our bicycles and take you back to the train station so you can return to Naples.
We'll say our goodbyes at the starting point after a total of 7 hours.
Please note that you can only participate in this activity if you are over 4 feet 7 inches (1.40 meters) tall and weigh less than 286 pounds.
