Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro, Princess Mononoke... If you're a fan of Studio Ghibli movies, you can't miss this day trip to Ghibli Park with tickets included. Get ready for an unforgettable and magical day out!
Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up in front of the Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel to set off towards Ghibli Park. Ready to enjoy this unique space inspired by the Studio Ghibli animated universe? Say no more!
After a 45-minute bus trip, we'll reach Ghibli Park, located on the site where the Expo 2005 was held. This thematic space recreates the Studio Ghibli universe, offering an immersive experience in the worlds created in films as iconic as My Neighbour Totoro and Princess Mononoke.
On this day trip, you'll have included the Ghibli Park O-Snapo Day Pass Standard, which will give you access to the three main areas of the park: Ghibli's Grand Warehouse, Mononoke Village and the Valley of Witches.
Throughout the day, you'll get to explore Ghibli Park at your own pace, take photos with the decorations in each area, and enjoy a delicious bento-style lunch inspired by the films. What a treat! The menu, which also has a vegetarian option available (which may include dashi, a typical Japanese broth, and eggs), includes a drink.
Then, we'll do one of the visits described below and, lastly, we'll return to our original meeting point, where we'll arrive after a total of 8 and 8.5 hours.
Additional Visits
After lunch, your tour will continue with an additional visit, which will vary depending on the day of the week:
- Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays: we'll head to the Aichi Museum of Flight. This aviation-themed museum is home to impressive exhibitions, including the YS-11, a plane that served as inspiration for the main character of the famous movie The Wind Rises.
- Wednesdays: you'll have the chance to discover the Toyota Automobile Museum. With approximately 150 vehicles on display, this museum is a fascinating journey through the worldwide history of automobiles, from their origins to the modern age.
- Tuesday and Thursday: we'll visit the Seto-Gura Museum, where you can dive into the ancient world of Seto ware. You'll enjoy Japan's pottery culture through a recreation of a mid-20th-century pottery village and a collection of ceramic objects spanning from ancient to modern times.
