On this visit to a balsamic vinegar factory, we'll discover how one of Modena's main products is made. Of course, we'll also taste some!
Tour Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel or at the train station in Modena and, from there, we'll drive to the outskirts of this Italian city, which belongs to the Emilia-Romagna region.
After a short drive, we'll arrive at Acetaia dei Bago, which has been producing DOP Modena traditional balsamic vinegar for generations.
During the tour, we'll visit the rooms where the so-called black gold of Modena is preserved in barrels. We'll also take a walk through the vineyards, where we'll discover how the Trebbiano Modenese grape, the grape needed to produce the famous balsamic vinegar, is grown.
After visiting the winery and its vineyards, we'll enjoy a tasting of DOP Modena vinegar, accompanied by Parmesan cheese and other products.
At the end of the tasting, we'll take you back to Modena, where you'll arrive at your hotel between 1 and 1.5 hours after pickup.
