Description
If you're in Milan, you can't miss out on visiting one of the city's great tourist attractions, the Duomo's terraces. To do so, at the indicated time, we'll meet at the emblematic Piazza del Duomo and begin this fascinating tour.
Once there, we'll explain the details of Milan Cathedral façade, one of the most magical and special places in the capital of Lombardy. Afterwards, we'll take the lift to the top of the Duomo, avoiding the 200-step climb!
Before you know it, you'll be admiring one of the best panoramic views of Milan from an incomparable place. We'll walk along the terraces of the Duomo and admire the different sculptures that decorate it: did you know that it has 3,400 statues, 150 gargoyles and 96 giants? It's impossible not to notice them!
As well as that, we'll also see the ornate spires, which are approximately 17 metres (55 feet) high and date back to the 18th century. To make this visit even more special, we'll look up to admire the statue of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary into Heaven, popularly known as the Madonnina. Did you know that she's considered to be the protector of the city?
Of course, from the terraces, you'll also be able to see the most important buildings and monuments of Milan, including the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the San Siro Stadium and the Castello Sforzesco. Don't forget your camera!
After an hour of guided sightseeing, the tour will end at the starting point. Arrivederci!
