At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of the Panificio Perrone dal 1890, from where we'll start an electric bike tour of Matera. Ready to discover the magic of the Basilicata countryside? Let's pedal!
Once on the electric bicycles, we'll gradually get into the nature of the region. Along the way, we'll learn fascinating stories about the region, its agricultural traditions and its inhabitants. Along the way, we will observe ancient farms and may even see sheep and cows grazing peacefully—a scene that has remained unchanged for centuries!
One of the highlights of the tour will be at a viewpoint, from where we'll get a spectacular view of Matera, one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. From here, we'll admire the impressive complex of the Sassi di Matera, a labyrinth of cave houses carved into the rock, declared a World Heritage Site.
After this unforgettable moment, we'll make our way back to the city center, arriving at a local bakery. Here, we'll taste a delicious freshly baked focaccia. The perfect end to any bike tour!
