As we step into the Royal Palace, we'll dive into the history, art, and beauty of each room. Commissioned by King Philip V of Spain in the 18th century after the fire that destroyed the former Royal Alcázar in 1734, the Royal Palace stands out due to its enormous size: it has 214,069 square feet (19,900 square meters) and almost 3,500 rooms.
