The Flamenco Theatre of Madrid

Madrid is flamenco. And in the heart of the city, Andalusia comes alive with all its strength. This is not just any theater: it is the first flamenco theater in the world, a space where the soul of the south and the pulse of Spain are present in each performance. A close and welcoming place, where art is delivered, unfiltered, and the emotion is raw and real.

Teatro Flamenco Madrid is more than a theater. It's a universe dedicated to flamenco in its purest form. An open, vibrant cultural center, where those who understand that flamenco cannot be explained come together knowing it is to be experienced, listened to and above all, shared.

The Flamenco Theatre forms part of the Alfil Theatre, a legendary show venue located on Calle del Pez, very close to the Gran Vía in Madrid.

Consisting of 2 floors, the theatre covers a surface area of 300 square meters and can accommodate up to 220 people. These figures confirm that Alfil Theatre is one of the best venues in Madrid to enjoy flamenco rhythms, dances and music.

It is said that “flamenco is a feeling of the soul that is danced, sung and played.” This is the theory, but you cannot experience the ‘duende’ spirit of this intangible art until you attend a live show for yourself. It is no coincidence that this performance at the Flamenco Theatre of Madrid is precisely called “Emociones” (Emotions). This show has three essential pillars in flamenco: song, dance, and guitar.

In the Flamenco Theatre of Madrid, you can enjoy unique performances. The artistic direction rests on the shoulders of two distinguished craftsmen in this art: the guitarist Antonio Andrade and the dancer Úrsula Moreno. Guitar, singing and dancing fuse together seamlessly at the Alfil. A performance you don't want to miss!
