Lucca Night Tour
When the clock strikes 9 pm, we'll meet in Piazza San Michele. As the sun sets, the streets and buildings of Lucca begin to light up, setting the perfect scene for our night tour, and giving the historic city center an even more magical atmosphere.
During the tour, we'll stroll through Lucca to admire its many marble churches, such as San Michele in Foro. Did you know that this temple was built over an ancient Roman forum? We'll discover this and many other curiosities as we walk around.
We'll then head to Piazza Napoleone to admire the exterior of the Palazzo Ducale, a building whose origins date back to the 14th century. Nearby we'll find the Teatro del Giglio, Lucca's iconic opera house, and St. Martin's Cathedral (also called Lucca Cathedral). You won't be able to stop taking photos!
Following the trail of the Roman Empire, we'll visit the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, one of the most famous places in Lucca's historic center. Then, we'll stroll along Via Fillungo under the night sky to see buildings of great historical interest such as the Basilica of San Frediano and Torre delle Ore, the town's clock tower.
Then, after 2 hours of cultural immersion, we'll bring our tour to an end back at the starting point.
