At the scheduled time we'll pick you up at your hotel in south Tenerife and head over to La Camella. We'll gear up in this small town and set off on our cycling route to the Teide volcano. Let's go!
During the first stage of our bike tour, we'll begin getting used to the steepness of the terrain. We'll cycle about 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) to Granadilla and, from there, we'll begin a tougher section until we reach Vilaflor. Did you know that this is one of the highest villages in all of Spain?
Once we pass Vilaflor, it'll be time for the most complicated part of the trip, a 14-kilometer (8.7-mile) non-stop ascent along the roads of the Teide National Park. The effort will be well worth it - the views are truly incredible.
During the tour, we'll get unforgettable panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the southern coast of Tenerife and we'll admire the striking contrast between the vegetation of the low and high areas of the island.
Our finish line will be El Retamar, which is part of the area of Santiago del Teide, located at 2100 meters (6,900 feet) above sea level! We'll spend some time taking souvenir photos before starting our descent.
In this final stretch, we'll cycle about 45 kilometers (28 miles) until we reach Playa de las Américas. Here, we'll leave the bikes and hop on the minibus back to your hotel after five and a half hours of adventure.
