On this tour, we'll take you to discover Ottoman Istanbul and then we'll cross the Bosphorus Bridge to venture into the Asian side of the city. You'll love it!
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the point you selected during the booking process and, once we've all arrived, we'll begin this comprehensive tour of Ottoman Istanbul and the Asian side of the city.
We'll begin with a stroll through the Kuzguncuk neighbourhood, featuring beautiful streets and multicoloured houses. Get ready to see some amazing examples of traditional architecture! Kuzgunck also has a very diverse cultural background, with a blend of Greek, Armenian, Jewish, and Islamic influences. This is why a mosque, church and synagogue can all be found here.
This neighbourhood is known as the film background for certain Turkish shows such as Hatırla Sevgili (Remember, Darling), Kuzey Guney (North, South), and Kara Sevda (Endless Love). If you are a fan of any of these dramas, we're sure you'll recognise some of the spots we walk past before heading to the Asian side of Istanbul by crossing the Bosphorus Strait.
Once there, we'll visit the Beylerbeyi Palace, a beautiful white marble residence built in the 19th century on the orders of Sultan Abdulaziz. This building has 3 main entrances, 7 halls, 24 incredibly decorated rooms, and a beautiful garden with magnolias which will make you fall in love with this part of the city.
We'll then continue this tour with a wander through the Üsküdar neighbourhood, and we'll head over to the seaside promenade to get great views of the iconic Maiden's Tower, an emblematic symbol of Istanbul.
After a total of 4 hours, this tour will come to an end at the Marmaray Uskudar station.
8-Hour Tour
If you want an even more comprehensive tour, why not upgrade your experience to the 8-hour tour option? In this case, after admiring the Maiden's Tower from the seaside promenade, we'll take you to one of the most popular restaurants in the area where you can enjoy some Turkish cuisine if you wish.
Having re-energised, we'll make our way to Kadıköy, a cosmopolitan district known for its cafés, shops, and markets with fresh produce, until reaching the Çamlıca Mosque, one of the biggest and most majestic in Istanbul. We'll admire its impressive architecture and scenic views of the city.
This tour will end in the Taksim neighbourhood
