At the designated time, we'll meet at Theaterplatz, next to the iconic Semperoper opera house, to kick off our day trip to Meissen. Ready to discover this city bathed by the Elbe? Let's go!
Our first stop will be at the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory, famous for its craftsmanship and its seal of quality with two crossed swords. We'll explore the exhibition room, witness a live demonstration to see how these experts transform kaolin into true masterpieces.
Then, we'll head to the historic center of Meissen, a medieval site that looks like it's from a postcard. After strolling along its cobbled streets, we'll climb up to the hill where the Albrechtsburg Castle and the Meissen Cathedral stand, two Gothic gems that offer impressive views of the Dresden Elbe Valley. Here, you'll have free time to explore the area at your own pace.
Finally, we'll return to Dresden and conclude our day trip of 4 hours at the same starting point.
