At the indicated time, we'll meet at Sant Jaume d'Enveja pier in Deltebre and start our kayak tour to Gracia Island. Let's go on an adventure!
First of all, we'll briefly explain some safety measures and how to use the kayaks correctly. When we're all ready, we'll step into the kayaks to start our journey along the River Ebro to Gracia Island.
Little by little, we'll travel along the riverbank to the picturesque village of Balada, which lies opposite Gracia Island. This village is home to one of Catalonia's most symbolic trees, also known as 'Baladre de Balada'.
Along the route, you'll be able to observe the enchanting riverside forest. Poplars, silver poplars and tamarinds line the shore, where we may be lucky enough to see storks, kingfishers and the elegant grey heron.
We'll continue paddling to Gracia Island, which will take us to the heart of the Ebro Delta Natural Park. We'll kayak through its calm waters as the guide tells us some interesting details about this place, which was recently declared a Biosphere Reserve.
Finally, after a total of 1.5 hours, our tour will finish at the meeting point.
