The southernmost province of Galicia is home to an incredible artistic, gastronomic, and monumental heritage. Discover it on our Ourense & Allariz Day Trip from the Portuguese town of Chaves.
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and drive our minibus to the Spanish border. We'll cross into Spain and head to Ourense, the southernmost province of the Spanish region of Galicia.
The first stop will be at the province's capital, which is the city of the same name, to take a guided tour. We'll stroll through Ourense's historic centre to see As Burgas, a popular set of fountains, thermal baths, and springs that have water that reaches a temperature of over 60 degrees Celsius. Let's find out why it's so nice and toasty!
Our day trip will then take us to the Plaza Mayor, where we'll see the façade of the Town Hall. From there, we'll continue strolling to the Plaza de San Martín. While we're standing in this square, we'll observe the details on the outside of Ourense Cathedral, which exhibits a charming blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles.
After our guided tour of the city, you'll have 1 hour of free time for lunch in the historic centre. Once you've had something to eat, we'll head to Allariz, which is one of the most beautiful villages in the province of Ourense. We'll take a stroll through this town and see some of its most iconic monuments, such as the Church of Santa Clara and the Romanesque Church of Santiago.
It'll then be time to head back to your hotel, where we'll drop you off at 5 pm.
