Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Chania before heading to the south of Crete to begin this unforgettable day trip.
Firstly, we'll head to Sfakia. This region is particularly notable for its role during World War II and also offers breathtaking views of Crete's White Mountains (Lefka Ori). According to the 2021 census, Sfakia has a population of just 2,002 residents spread across 467.6 km² (180.5 mi²), making it one of the most expansive yet sparsely populated municipalities in Crete.
From there, we'll hop into a water taxi and make our way to Loutro, a picturesque seaside village. Did you know that its name comes from the Greek word for "bath"? Find out why on this day trip!
Once in Loutro, it's time to relax with some free time! This is the perfect destination to take a dip in the crystal-clear waters, stroll along the idyllic beachfront, or simply soak up the sun. If you get hungry, you can visit a local taverna and indulge in some delicious local food like mpoureki or mousaka. Enjoy!
After some time making the most of this Cretan paradise, we'll hop onto the private taxi boat back to Sfakia, where we'll begin our return journey to Chania. We'll drop you off at your hotel and say our goodbyes after a total of 8 hours. See you next time!
