On this Visegrád excursion by boat, you’ll sail to one of the most beautiful towns on the Danube and have free time to explore it at your own pace.
Activity Details
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Vigadó tér pier, where you'll board a boat for a trip to Visegrád, one of the most beautiful towns along the Danube Bend. All aboard!
Once you set sail, you will embark on a 3-hour and 30-minute journey along the Danube River. This route offers some of the most spectacular landscapes in Hungary, with steep hills, calm waters, and lush vegetation.
Upon arriving in Visegrád, you'll have 5 hours of free time to explore this destination at your own pace. Did you know that this village was the residence of the Hungarian kings in the Middle Ages? We recommend visiting the old Royal Palace to learn more about this period of Visegrád’s history.
We also suggest visiting Solomon’s Tower, a defensive fortress located at the foot of Visegrád Castle, where you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views. Right nearby, if you're feeling hungry, you'll find the Renaissance restaurant, undoubtedly the most iconic in the town. The theme is medieval, and you can even dress in period costumes while sampling some local dishes.
After this time, you'll need to return to the Visegrád pier to board the boat back to Budapest, where the activity concludes after a total of 11 hours.
