Joana really made the city come to life for us. Her in-depth knowledge of Portuguese history coupled with her ability to explain it in a way that made events over time come together (as we were standing in front of relevant buildings/monuments) drew us into the stories. We left with a good sense of what life was like in Braga not only in the present day, but also over the last 10 centuries.
