Day Trip Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Bodrum and head to Etrim, one of the most historic villages in Muğla province. Tradition and warm hospitality await you on this excursion.
After about a 30-minute drive, we’ll arrive in Etrim, a village known for its authentic rural life that perfectly reflects Anatolian culture. We’ll take a guided tour to learn about the local traditions and crafts, including agriculture, animal husbandry, and weaving.
Etrim is especially famous for its carpets. During the tour, you’ll watch local artisans weaving rugs using centuries-old techniques passed down through generations. We’ll also visit specialized shops where you can purchase one of these beautiful carpets as a lasting memento of your trip to Turkey.
After this cultural immersion in Etrim, we’ll head back to Bodrum. On the way, we’ll stop at Myndos Gate, built in the 4th century BC and once one of the main entrances to the city of Halicarnassus. We’ll also share the fascinating connection this site has with Alexander the Great, it’ll feel like stepping back in time!
Finally, we’ll return you to your hotel, concluding this 5-hour day trip.
